Caddo Lake
Caddo Lake is the largest lake in the United States, which lies to the east of the State of Texas on the border with the state of Louisiana. It is a protected area where trees grow very large. It has one of the largest cypress forests in the world with an area of up to 106 km square meters.
Cypress trees in the lake grow in direct water which gives it a distinctive form and rapid growth, as these trees help prevent soil erosion caused by storms and rain. Activities enjoyed by visitors include camping, hiking, paddling trails, picnicking, nature study, fishing and boating.
